About Me
My name is Vikki Joss. I am 40 years old. Previous Self-employed Make-up Artist & some Modelling work through-out the years. In High School I was runner up for an Art competition called ‘Create It’. I choose focus on Fashion Design & the theme I picked was fossils, rocks & flowers as my inspiration for the final dresses & accessorizes. I trained at Oonagh Boman Make-up School in Botanic, Belfast. I then completed a ‘Start a business’ course with Invest NI & started my freelance Make-up Artistry work. I then went on to win a scholarship to further my make-up skills which was through the Prince’s Trust & Jemma Kidd’s Make-up Academy in Notting Hill, London, in 2008. I moved over to London & really enjoyed every aspect of the course. I took part in The Birmingham Clothes Show backstage for Make-up Artistry and featured in ‘Hello’ Magazine. You will see in the project section of my website various Makeup Artistry & Modelling creations & also a make-up brand idea, with a more of a philosophical, psychological approach to make-up to really get to know yourself & question yourself. It’s a healing progression rather than just sticking to your routine.
I went on to embark on my self employment. Mainly weddings, teaching one to one sessions & any occasions through-out Northern Ireland. I then stopped everything for a while to re-evaluate what I really wanted to do.
I had the opportunity to further my education with The Open University & go on to complete an Access to University course, Studying ‘People, Work & Society’. I really enjoyed the course & went onto further study in England,
I moved to England & I studied a Foundation Degree in Complementary Healthcare for a year in Lewes, East Sussex, which included, Jing Massage, Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Nutrition, & Personal Development. I never went onto the second year. Due to ill health at the time which I have overcome. I moved back to Northern Ireland. Since then I have continued the keen interest in Holistic, Complementary Therapies. I wanted to get to know myself and from working with crystals & overcoming triggers & really listened to my own intuition. The Crystals have really helped with self-enquiring & moving forwards from the past.
In May 2022 I started and completed a Course In ‘The Art Of Crystal Healing’ at The British Academy of Crystal Healing with Jacqueline Winters. Qualifying in January 2023. I really set out as it for just a hobby but since passing the course & being really intrigued by all the endless crystals I began to see a career opportunity to be able to help other people heal with these unique beautiful crystals. I loved all the assignments that were set every week & connecting to the crystal vibrations. I have had five years to really heal & use the Crystals to help me. I have never felt better.
I remember as a little girl up the North Coast amazed at these crystals at a place called the Courtyard on the sea front of Portrush. I have collected the through-out the years not really knowing what they did. I loved the formations, colours and how they made me feel. Now that I have a Therapist qualification I would like to start working with like minded people who would like a Crystal Healing session.
I am really excited for 2023. Continuing on with The British Academy of Crystal Healing I have also learnt in more depth ‘The Art of Jin Shin Jyutsu’ an ancient oriental Art of harmonizing life energy within the body, energising Body, Mind and Spirit. My interests with this Academy also led me to a four week Shamanic Experience that Jacqueline Winters taught which was very enlightening.
My fascination with the healing arts continues, I went on to train in February 2023 Level One ‘Reiki & Seichem’ with Janet Blades.
Most recently May 2023 I trained with Andrea Jennings at ‘Feet First Therapies’ gaining a qualification in Indian Head Massage. It’s an amazing practice to learn and I really enjoyed learning from Andrea, very uplifting teacher who I found very encouraging.
I look forward to using this skills & meeting new people.
