How I started Modelling.

I was working in Au Naturale, Interior shop & I was approached by a male hairdresser. He was entering British Hairdresser of the year award and asked would I like to be a Model for this competition. I said I would think about it and then I thought it might be a fun opportunity. To see people create and watch how everyone collaborates together to get a final outcome. Pursuing a Make-up Artists Role.

So I pursued a career in Make-up Artistry in 2006 & trained at Oonagh Boman Make-up School in Belfast, In fashion & photographic make-up. I continued to practise on myself with the makeup. Here are my first Two make-up photographs I took myself using a black yoga mat as a back-round.

Two Photographs to the right. This is where my belief in that I could do makeup artistry, modelling, fashion or photography.

Model Agency

Following that I joined Models 2K agency in Belfast & was set-up with a photographer for portfolio shots. I was asked by the photographer would I like to partake as a model in a TV programme called ‘Fish out of water’. I said yes. At the shoot I was fascinated with the Makeup Artists kit. I was stunned at all the products, the colours, textures & skills required for the Makeup Artists role. Likewise the Photographers role.

My portfolio below. A lot of these photographs were collaborations with many photographers who were just starting out and had an agreement of Time for Photos (T.FP). I liked experimenting so was happy to create. I wanted to explore my body more and create looks etc…

Looking back I wish I knew my worth more with the time and energy I put in.

In 2011 I completely stopped everything I enjoyed.

Then 2017 I embarked on the interests of alternative therapies which I had always been interested in before any of this.
